Vahagn Khachaturyan Nominated as Candidate for President of Armenia
At least a quarter of the members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia have nominated Vahagn Garniki Khachaturyan as a candidate for the President of the Republic. This information has been reported by the press service of the National Assembly.
According to the application, the candidate for president is authorized to be presented by the MP from the ruling Civil Contract party, Hayk Konjoryan.
It is worth recalling that on January 23, President Armen Sarkissian of Armenia resigned, stating that he was unable to utilize the majority of his potential to address systemic internal and external political issues.
