Explosions in Russia: Sberbank Branch Blown Up, One Casualty
This night in Ivanteyevka, near Moscow, criminals detonated an explosives device at a Sberbank branch. One of them died on the spot, according to the Mash Telegram channel.
The explosion caused the bank's double-glazed windows to shatter, the ceiling to collapse, and several ATMs to fall. The wires of one ATM were burned before security personnel arrived.
Staff at the scene discovered gas cylinders and pipes. The robbers attempted to break into the machines by forcing gas inside to access the money, but they exceeded safe limits.
According to preliminary information, one of the robbers managed to escape, while the other may have been killed by debris from an ATM.
