«We have been used to this situation for 30 years, gunfire almost always happens»: Chinari village mayor
Calm prevails in the border village of Chinari in the Tavush region at this moment, with no gunfire reported. This was stated by the head of the Chinari community, Samvel Sogoyan.
He noted that there had been gunfire in the past two days, but it was directed towards the positions, and the village remains peaceful.
“We have been used to this situation for 30 years, gunfire almost always happens, we are not afraid. When there is a moment of silence, we even get anxious, thinking that something is wrong,” joked the village mayor.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense reported that on January 27, around 10:00 PM, several bursts of gunfire had been fired from the Azerbaijani side towards the Tavush region, to which the Armenian units did not respond.
