“At the initiative of the Azerbaijani side, a phone call took place between the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, and the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev,” the statement says.
It is noted that, considering Aliyev's recent visit to Ukraine, the participants discussed issues concerning the Ukrainian settlement, which have “stopped due to Kyiv's unconstructive stance.” Putin also spoke about communications with the U.S. and its allies regarding the provision of security guarantees for Russia.
