Russia's Foreign Ministry on Georgia's Accession to the '3+3' Format
Georgia's accession to the '3+3' format on South Caucasus issues will not obligate the country to change its political positions, stated Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, according to TASS agency.
"It can be agreed that we will discuss exclusive topics within this format that interest all participants," Lavrov said, noting that Moscow has no diplomatic relations with Tbilisi, which limits its ability to explain the benefits of cooperation in the mentioned format.
"We have appealed to our Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Armenian friends, asking them to explain to our Georgian neighbors the advantages of joining this format. It will not obligate them in any way regarding their political positions," emphasized Lavrov.
