Hydrocarbon Leak Occurs at Factory in France

In southern France, a hydrocarbon leak has occurred from the Total oil refinery into the Marseille-Rhône canal, according to BFM TV.

According to BFM Marseille, hydrocarbons were discovered in the canal around noon on Monday. The pollution is linked to the Total La Mede refinery.

The factory management has already ordered measures to prevent further leaks. A crisis headquarters has been established to monitor the situation.
