Police Guard the Door of Yerevan City Council Sessions

As previously reported, the issue of expressing no confidence in Mayor Hayk Marutyan is under discussion at the City Hall. According to Factor.am, the session of the Yerevan City Council is taking place in the presence of police officers. They are stationed near the doors of the session hall, preventing journalists from entering the hall.

Until now, the police had never provided security at the doors during sessions. In response to a media inquiry regarding the presence of police, the spokesperson for the City Hall mentioned that the police are acting under the orders of the police chief.
