Urgent: Azerbaijan Hands Over 10 Armenian Captives to Armenia
Azerbaijan has handed over 10 Armenian captives to Armenia on December 19, facilitated by the European Union. These individuals were taken captive on November 16.
This information was reported by Sputnik Azerbaijan, referencing the State Commission on Prisoners of War, Missing Persons, and Hostages of Azerbaijan.
Earlier, Azerbaijan confirmed that 13 military personnel had been captured during the clashes on November 16. This number was included in the preliminary reports from the Armenian Ministry of Defense. It was noted that the fate of an additional 24 soldiers was unknown. Later, the Prime Minister announced that there were data concerning 32 captives.
On December 4, Azerbaijan returned 10 individuals, and one more wounded person was repatriated on November 25, one day before the meeting in Sochi.
