Azerbaijan and Turkey Discuss the Progress of Agreements on Nagorno-Karabakh
The foreign ministers of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Jeyhun Bayramov and Mevlut Cavusoglu, discussed the issues related to the launch of the regional cooperation platform in the "3+3" format (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Russia, Turkey, Iran) on Sunday.
The meeting took place in Islamabad during an extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, as reported by the Azerbaijani Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"The parties discussed the results of the first meeting of the '3+3' cooperation format initiated by the leaders of Azerbaijan and Turkey (in Moscow)," the Ministry’s statement said.
Additionally, the foreign ministers addressed the current situation in the South Caucasus, the progress in the implementation of trilateral agreements concerning Nagorno-Karabakh, and the normalization of relations between the countries in the region in the post-conflict period.
