Despite reports of a new strain of coronavirus identified in the U.S., thousands of people participated in the lighting ceremony of the Christmas tree in New York.
This year's tree is 85 years old, standing at 24 meters tall, with 50,000 lights hanging from its branches. The total length of the branches is approximately 8 kilometers. At the top of the tree is a star adorned with Swarovski crystals weighing over 400 kg.
