13 Cases of Omicron Variant Detected Among Belenenses Football Players in Portugal

Thirteen cases of infection with the Omicron variant have been detected in Portugal. This was reported by the Portuguese RTP television channel.

It is noted that the cases were identified among the players of the football club Belenenses. "Preliminary tests conducted at the National Institute of Health named after Ricardo Jorge show that all 13 cases are associated with the concerning Omicron variant," the institute stated in its announcement.
