Red Cross Representatives Have Yet to Visit Soldiers Captured on November 16
On November 16, following an Azerbaijani provocation, 13 servicemen were captured, and the Red Cross representatives have not yet met with them. In an interview with Factor.am, Zara Amatuni, the Red Cross representative in Armenia, stated that negotiations with authorities are still ongoing four days later.
“Currently, processes are continuing regarding visits to the captured individuals. Firstly, the authorities of this country must confirm the names of the servicemen in their custody, after which a confidential dialogue will take place with the relevant authorities to clarify the situation and implement further actions,” Amatuni noted.
It is worth recalling that due to the provocation on November 16, preliminary data indicates that the Armenian side has 6 dead, 4 wounded, 13 captured, and 24 missing servicemen.
