«Whatever Happened, Happened Far from Jermuk» - Shirak Buniatyan
The resident of Jermuk and environmentalist Shirak Buniatyan wrote on his Facebook page: «Before I get to my main point, I want to make an important emphasis. Every part of Armenia and Artsakh is equally a homeland for me, a birthplace, and sacred land.
There has been misinformation circulating since yesterday, claiming that the enemy has made advances in the Jermuk area and that we have lost several positions. I am not writing this to prove the opposite to a wide audience; I am writing this for the reasonable and genuinely concerned friends on Facebook.
Dear friends, there is no tension or positional loss in the Jermuk area. I say this as a resident of Jermuk and someone who is well aware of what has happened yesterday. I will not highlight specific places or names, but whatever happened, happened far from Jermuk, and in such conditions, it is not excluded that one day it could happen in Jermuk or another settlement.
The fact that the incident did not occur in Jermuk does not diminish the problem. Simply spreading misinformation is also not right...».
