Armen Sarkissian Has Not Been in Armenia for 54 Days out of 85 Working Days: Aghvan Vardanyan
From July 1 to October 31, 2021, there were 122 days, of which 85 were working days. Out of these 85 days, the President of the Republic spent 54 days outside Armenia. This was announced by Aghvan Vardanyan, a member of the 'Armenia' parliamentary faction, during a discussion in the National Assembly. He added that the president is a key state institution, and about 25-30 percent of the expenses of that institution are only related to foreign trips.
“To what extent is this institution fulfilling its functions?” the MP inquired.
The Deputy Head of the President's Office, Khachatur Poghosyan, clarified that they do not have such an analysis. “To say whether the effectiveness of the president's recent visit to Glasgow or his previous visit to Italy is justifiable, we do not have an analysis. We are simply trying to organize the normal activities of the President of the Republic within the allocated means, without requiring more,” stated Khachatur Poghosyan.
