Even during Kocharian's era, there was no abuse of freedom of speech like today in the Parliament: Armen Khachatryan
Even during Kocharian's era, there was no abuse of freedom of speech like today in the Parliament. This was stated by Armen Khachatryan, a member of the HAK board, during the broadcast of the program 'Interview'.
According to him, it is unacceptable to remove a member of parliament from the podium for political speech. He recalled that in the past, parliament member Nikol Pashinyan also had offensive, sharp, and even unacceptable gestures during his speeches, but the authorities listened to him calmly, and no one removed him from the hall.
Khachatryan also spoke about the local government elections, noting that they, like the national elections, lack political content and discourse, and the struggle mainly takes place between clans and authorities.
