Iran's Foreign Minister Issues Statement
Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdollahian, pointing out the recent issues concerning the supply of Iranian energy resources to Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh, deemed the arrest of two Iranian drivers in Azerbaijan as unacceptable. This was reported by IRNA.
“We understand the situation related to Azerbaijan and are aware of foreign interventions, including the presence of Zionists and terrorists in the country. We are concerned that this could pose further problems for Baku,” he emphasized.
“By conducting exercises at the border of the Republic of Azerbaijan, we sent a signal to the region’s Zionists and terrorists,” the minister clarified, adding that foreign players should not be allowed to influence the longstanding relations between Tehran and Baku.
