Arsen Harutyunyan Achieves Confident Victory
The World Championship in freestyle wrestling kicked off in Oslo, the capital of Norway, on October 2, with four Armenian representatives participating. Arsen Harutyunyan (61 kg) was the first to enter the competition, as reported by News.am.
In the 1/8 finals, the 2019 European champion faced Kazakhstan’s representative, Adlan Askarov, the world champion under 23, and secured a convincing victory with a score of 18:10.
In the quarter-finals, Arsen Harutyunyan will compete against Ali Beg Ali Begov from Bahrain, who is a bronze medalist from the 2021 World Youth Championship.
Other Armenian representatives, Vazgen Tevanian (65 kg) and Arman Avagyan (79 kg), will start their competitions on October 3, while Arman Andreasyan (70 kg) will begin on October 4.
