‘After Vaccination’ Does Not Mean ‘As a Result of Vaccination’. Ministry of Health Claims No Deaths Recorded Due to Vaccinations
The Ministry of Health of the Republic of Armenia has issued a statement, stating in particular:
“Considering the unverified information spread on the internet and social media regarding the causes of death, the Ministry of Health reiterates that no deaths associated with COVID-19 vaccination have been recorded in the Republic of Armenia. It should be emphasized that ‘after vaccination’ does not mean ‘as a result of vaccination and a causal link with vaccination’, as vaccination against the disease cannot prevent deaths caused by other illnesses within the population.”
“At the same time, we remind that a person is considered fully vaccinated if they have received two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and optimal effectiveness is established if at least two weeks have passed since the second dose. Otherwise, it is possible that a person may have received the vaccinations, but the vaccine has not had enough time to take effect, and the person can become infected with the coronavirus, develop a severe case of the disease, and die.”
“We urge media outlets not to disseminate unverified and one-sided information. To avoid such situations, we again appeal to our compatriots to get vaccinated as soon as possible and prevent the emergence of severe, extremely severe, and fatal cases of COVID-19.”
