Metal Barriers Installed at Certain Intersections in Yerevan

The Yerevan municipality is installing metal fences and barriers at key intersections in the capital where the right lane of traffic is always open and there are no marked pedestrian crossings. This was reported by the Yerevan City Hall.

The aim of the program is to primarily eliminate pedestrian traffic in unauthorized areas, ensuring their safety. In total, 1,200 meters of metal fences and barriers will be installed in the city this year.

Work has already been completed at the intersections of Orbeli-Kievyan, Halabyan-Arzumanyan, Abovyan-Moskoyan streets, and the section of Arshakunyats Avenue-Garegin Nzhdeh Street.
