VIDEO: Mass Decline of Crows Recorded
About 200 dead black crows have been discovered in the village of Ust-Tarkh in the Novosibirsk region, and the reasons for their decline are being investigated. This was reported to Interfax by Sergey Kuzlyakin, head of the veterinary department of the Ust-Tarkh region, as reported by Armenpress.
"Most of the signs indicate that it is most likely poisoning," said Kuzlyakin, specifying that other animals and birds in the village have not been affected.
He noted that the bodies of the crows have been collected, samples taken, and sent to the laboratory, with results expected by September 27.
The agency's interlocutor also mentioned that mainly birds born this year have died. According to him, the department's specialists have checked the area of the village and several enterprises, including the grain reception point, and a backyard tour has been conducted.
"Domestic animals and birds are in normal condition," Kuzlyakin stated.
