Video: Identity of Person Who Hit and Run with 75-Year-Old Woman Revealed
On September 14, around 7:30 PM, the driver of an unknown vehicle hit a 75-year-old woman on the Yerevan-Sevan-Ijevan highway. The victim was taken to the intensive care unit of the 'Sevan' medical center with injuries, where she later died. This information was reported by the Armenian police.
A criminal case was initiated on September 15 at the Sevan investigative department regarding the incident. The Gegharkunik regional police and the second platoon of the traffic police collaborated with criminal investigators from the Sevan department to quickly solve the crime.
As a result of joint measures, it was discovered that a 60-year-old resident of Mazmanyan Street in Yerevan had hit the 75-year-old woman with his 'Mercedes' vehicle while driving from Ijevan to Yerevan. Through explanatory work, the suspect turned himself in to the police on September 16 and provided a confessional statement. He was then presented to the Sevan investigative department and arrested. An investigation is underway.
