Azerbaijan Sends Letters of Protest to Russia's Ministry of Defense and Peacekeeping Forces Command in Artsakh
Azerbaijan has stated that legal and physical persons from other countries and their vehicles cannot enter «Azerbaijani territory» without the consent of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and such cases are considered violations of the country's laws.
This was reported in letters sent by the Ministry of Defense of Azerbaijan to Russia's Ministry of Defense and the command of peacekeeping forces in Artsakh, regarding the «illegal crossings» of vehicles belonging to other countries into Azerbaijani territory, where Russian peacekeepers are temporarily deployed.
The letters note that such incidents contradict the trilateral statement signed on November 10, 2020, by the presidents of the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Russian Federation and the Prime Minister of Armenia, and recommend that such incidents be suppressed.
