Armen Charchyan Diagnosed with Pneumonia, Condition Critical

Armen Charchyan, the former director of the Izmirlian Medical Center, a member of the "Armenia" faction, and professor, has been diagnosed with pneumonia days ago. His condition is reported to be critical. This was disclosed to NEWS.am by Charchyan's attorney, Erik Aleksanyan.

"Currently, Charchyan is at the Kanaker-Zeytun Medical Center. I have applied to the court twice regarding the measure of restraint, requesting an urgent session. I also submitted another request for an urgent session on August 24, when I received new medical documents about his condition, but there has been no response from the court so far," stated the attorney, adding that Charchyan is being subjected to political persecution.
