Attempted Murder in Central Yerevan
On September 2, 2021, at 21:00, the Central Division of the Police of the Republic of Armenia received a call from the "Kanaker-Zeitun" Medical Center reporting that a 25-year-old resident of Yerevan had been admitted with "abdominal and limb stab wounds." The Investigative Committee reports that as a result of the measures taken, it was established that on September 2, 2021, around 20:25, on the sidewalk of Tumanyan Street, an individual suspected of committing the crime inflicted multiple blows on the young man with a cutting and stabbing object, causing bodily injuries.
A criminal case has been initiated in the Central and Norq-Marash administrative district's first division of the Investigative Committee under Article 34-104, part 1 of the RA Criminal Code. An examination of the crime scene was conducted, during which blood-like traces were discovered. The victim's clothing has been seized, a forensic medical examination has been appointed, and several individuals have been questioned. Investigative and procedural actions are underway to clarify all circumstances of the case, as well as to identify and locate the individual suspected of committing the crime. The pre-investigation is ongoing.
