Prospects for Normalizing Relations Between Armenia and Azerbaijan Discussed in Baku
The Russian co-chair of the OSCE Minsk Group, Igor Khovaev, visited Baku today. He met with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov, and according to a statement from the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry, the parties discussed the prospects for normalizing relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The statement also noted that the parties reviewed the implementation of the trilateral agreements reached after the recent war in Nagorno-Karabakh, as well as the execution of confidence-building measures. It is noteworthy that Igor Khovaev replaced former co-chair Igor Popov last July.
