One Shift of Employees Evacuated from Sotk Gold Mine: Approximately 200 People

I confirm the information that due to irregular gunfire from the Azerbaijani side, employees of the Sotk gold mine have been evacuated. Irregular gunfire continues in the mine area at this moment.

This concerns approximately 200 employees of one shift, said Rouzanna Grigoryan, an official representative of GeoProMining Gold, in a conversation with an Aysor.am correspondent.

“As you are aware, part of the border passes directly through the mine area, so the management decided to suspend operations and evacuate our employees to ensure their safety,” she said, adding that there are no casualties or injuries due to the opponent's gunfire.

Rouzanna Grigoryan also noted that the company seems to have developed immunity, adapting to the new reality and continuing to live and work within it. “We respond very flexibly to the situation and make the right decisions immediately to emerge from the situation without damages,” she said.
