Calm Down, Mr. Ohanyan: Tensions in Parliament Persist
Tensions continue to rise in the National Assembly between the "Civil Contract" faction and opposition lawmakers. During the speech of Civil Contract faction leader Hayk Konjoryan, opposition representatives responded to his statements.
In his address, Konjoryan referred to the head of the "Armenia" faction, Seyran Ohanyan. According to Konjoryan, Ohanyan should discipline his fellow lawmakers to prevent further escalation. In response to this, Seyran Ohanyan stood up to attempt a rebuttal, to which Konjoryan remarked, "Calm down, Mr. Ohanyan."
It is noteworthy that moments earlier, tensions in the National Assembly had escalated following the speech of Deputy Speaker Ishkhan Saghatelyan.
