What is Happening in Tavush: Russian Side Establishes Second Border Post
In Tavush, the Russian side is establishing a second border post in the village of Azatamut. This was reported by 168.am, citing its sources.
Days ago, a similar post was set up by Russian border guards in the village of Voskepar in the Tavush region.
Regarding the presence of Russian servicemen in the Tavush region, particularly in the Voskepar community, the Ministry of Defense officially confirmed the placement of Russian border guards and stated that construction work is being carried out for the necessary support facilities for these guards. This process is taking place within the framework of Armenian-Russian cooperation.
In an interview with NEWS.am, Tavush Governor Hayk Ghulumyan declined to comment on the circulating information, noting that the governor's office has no relation to such matters, urging inquiries to the Ministry of Defense.
From the defense ministry, NEWS.am was informed that they are currently unable to provide information.
