Pashinyan Announces First Tasks of Newly Elected Government
The government has essentially been formed, with only the Minister of Foreign Affairs yet to be appointed. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during the first session of the newly elected government.
“In the near future, we should focus on confirming the governmental program and the list of actions for its implementation. Our program should be based on the pre-election program of the 'Civil Contract' party, the transformed strategy for Armenia until 2050, and the pre-election promises formed during the dialogue with the people during the campaign,” said Pashinyan.
According to him, discussions will be held with government representatives in both official and unofficial capacities, so that they can present it to the National Assembly by August 23.
