Armed Robbery in Central Yerevan with Mask and Hand Grenade
A robbery occurred a short time ago in the center of Yerevan. An unknown individual, according to preliminary information, armed with a grenade, entered a credit organization and currency exchange point located at Amiryan Street 7 and stole a large sum of money.
According to reports from the scene, Deputy Chief of the Police of the Republic of Armenia Aram Hovhannisyan and Chief of the Yerevan Police Sevan Kocharyan have arrived at the site. Increased services are being conducted by the patrol officers of the Yerevan division of the Police of the Republic of Armenia.
The police and the investigative unit are trying to determine the exact amount of money that was stolen. The man was wearing a medical mask, and when he was unable to complete his criminal act, he fled the scene. His mask and grenade were subsequently found by police and investigators in the yard of building 13 on Amiryan Street.
