Pashinyan and Putin Hold Phone Conversation: What Did the Two Leaders Discuss?
Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has held a phone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The parties discussed a wide range of issues concerning the region and of mutual interest.
They addressed the implementation of agreements reached within the framework of the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, and January 11, 2021, particularly regarding the return of prisoners and the resumption of regional transport routes.
The discussion also covered current and prospective issues of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy and defense. In the context of the situation in the region, Nikol Pashinyan emphasized the key role of Russia in maintaining peace and stability.
The parties highlighted the importance of the activities of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group.
