Ukraine Deploys Troops Near Russian Border
The Armed Forces of Ukraine have conducted exercises aimed at developing tactics to repel aviation strikes near the border with Crimea. This was reported by 'RIA Novosti', citing a statement from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense on Facebook.
As part of the tactical retraining of air defense units, combat exercises with the 'Buk' missile systems were held to fend off simulated enemy airstrikes. The statement noted that the air defense units had deployed the 'Buk' systems in unprepared positions and developed operations for searching, detecting, capturing, and tracking aerial targets, followed by simulating launches.
Ukrainian military personnel regularly conduct exercises near the border with Crimea. The latest drills took place from June 28 to July 10 in the Black Sea and were carried out in cooperation with NATO forces.
