Putin Advises Zelensky to Carefully Read His Article on Ukraine
The authorities in Kyiv should first read and analyze the article "On the Historical Unity of Russians and Ukrainians" before discussing it. This was stated by the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, during a broadcast on Russia 24 television, as reported by regnum.ru.
“If there is a desire for debate, I think they should take a pause, carefully read this article, and analyze it, bringing out documents,” the Russian leader emphasized while commenting on Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky's willingness to discuss certain aspects of the article authored by Putin. “These debates have been long-standing. It is quite difficult to argue about this article, as it is honest. It is genuinely based on historical documents,” the head of state added.
Earlier, it was reported that President Vladimir Putin had written an article on the historical unity of Russians and Ukrainians, which was published on the Kremlin's website. During his recent direct line with citizens, Putin promised that he would write an analytical article regarding Russia and Ukraine, in which he would express his views on the matter. He emphasized that he considers the Russian and Ukrainian peoples as one entity.
Putin also expressed hope that not only citizens of Russia but also those in Ukraine would familiarize themselves with his article.
