US State Department Includes Russia in List of Countries Exploiting People
The State Department accused Russia on Thursday in a report of "actively supporting" the forced exploitation of North Korean workers. According to RIA Novosti, the State Department has included Russia in a list of 11 countries where authorities violate the anti-trafficking norms adopted by the United States.
The State Department claims that Russia has continued to accept citizens of North Korea in 2020, issuing them nearly 3,000 new tourist and student visas. The US perceives this as an attempt to circumvent United Nations Security Council resolutions aimed at dismantling North Korea's labor camps abroad.
