VIDEO: How can we separate part of our territory and say this is under someone else's control? – Serzh Sargsyan

We cannot give some corridor to anyone, how can we grant a corridor, for what reason would we give a corridor? This was stated by the third President of Armenia and leader of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA), Serzh Sargsyan, during a meeting with supporters of the "Honorary Member" alliance in Masis.

When asked if he is against this, Sargsyan responded with a resounding 100 percent. He noted, “There is no problem with opening communications in the region, but what kind of corridor are we talking about? Are we obliged to give them a corridor? By what document, what agreement, for what reason?”

In response to the observation that perhaps there is an agreement with Russia and Turkey, Sargsyan replied, “I am not aware of any such agreement, and if we let them go, I assure you that no government will think about some corridor. There cannot be any talk of a corridor. What is the danger of a corridor poses a question – what kind of corridor, who will it be under control of? How can we separate part of our territory and say this is under someone else's control? It is out of the question.”
