Russian Ambassador Visits Syunik: Details
From June 2, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Russia to Armenia, Sergey Kopirkin, is on a working visit to the Syunik province. This was announced on the Facebook page of the Russian Embassy in Armenia.
The head of the Russian diplomatic mission has acquainted himself with the functioning of the border checkpoints located along the Goris-Kapan (Vorotan, Shurnukh) highway, where Armenian and Russian border guards serve, as well as the specific tasks carried out by the border department of the Federal Security Service of Russia in Armenia.
Near the entrance of the regional center, Sergey Kopirkin was welcomed by the mayor of Kapan, who presented the social and economic situation of the city and expressed gratitude to Russia for its participation in ensuring the security of the region.
