Ara Ayvazyan Holds Phone Conversation with Sergey Lavrov
On May 13, in the first half of the day, Acting Minister of Foreign Affairs Ara Ayvazyan had a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The interlocutors continued discussions on the situation created at the state border of Armenia due to the actions of the Azerbaijani side and the steps to be taken towards de-escalation.
This information was reported by the Press and Public Diplomacy Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia.
Acting Minister Ara Ayvazyan emphasized the unacceptability of any manifestation of encroachment on the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia as a result of provocations by the Azerbaijani side. The heads of the foreign offices of Armenia and Russia exchanged views on maintaining regional security and stability.
