Rapid Assembly of Approximately 140 Individual Houses in Karmir Shuka Community: Araik Harutyunyan
The President of the Republic of Artsakh, Araik Harutyunyan, visited the Karmir Shuka community in the Martuni region on May 2, 2021, to familiarize himself with the implementation of state and charitable housing programs.
The President first visited the construction site of a new neighborhood being built for residents displaced by the war, where the assembly of approximately 140 rapid-assembly wooden houses is underway. He inquired about the construction process and housing needs.
The head of the Karmir Shuka community presented the housing security issues present in the community to the President, particularly noting that in addition to the planned groups, several dozen more displaced families have expressed a desire to resettle in Karmir Shuka.
Araik Harutyunyan emphasized that ensuring housing for citizens displaced due to the war is one of the Government of Artsakh's priorities, and it is essential to find new solutions to create adequate conditions for all citizens who wish to settle in the community.
In this context, the country's leader instructed the development of expanded designs for several houses, which would allow for the accommodation of larger families with additional rooms, and, if necessary, to consider building a larger number of houses.
Following this, Araik Harutyunyan visited the construction site of multi-apartment buildings in the community, discussing various construction-related issues with representatives of the responsible parties and construction companies, and giving instructions aimed at completing the work within the designated deadlines.
During the President's visit, he was accompanied by the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Vitali Balasanyan.
