Unawareness of Muradov's Statement in Avinian's Office and 'My Step'
The commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces in Artsakh, Rustam Muradov, responded to a question from a reporter from 'Hraparak', stating that reports about the return of prisoners were a false provocation. 'The authorities are misleading the population.'
In this regard, ArmDaily.am requested a comment from Tigran Avinian's spokesperson, Nzhdeh Hovsepyan. He stated that he was not familiar with the statement. 'I am hearing this information from you; I have not had a chance to see it. I will look into it, see what it is about. I was in a meeting and have just stepped out; I need to understand what is happening, speak with the Deputy Prime Minister, and then I will respond,' he said.
My Step faction member Hratchya Hakobyan also admitted that he was unfamiliar with the video and Muradov's statement. 'I cannot say anything on this topic,' he added. He also did not respond to the question of whether there was actually an agreement, and if so, why the return of prisoners did not materialize, stating, 'I cannot say, I am currently driving, it’s not convenient to talk.'
Our numerous calls to Prime Minister’s spokesperson Mane Gevorgyan went unanswered.
