Increase in Coronavirus Cases During War Reaches Up to 3500, Colonel Sahak Ohanyan
There are currently 150 patients infected with coronavirus who are receiving treatment from the personnel of the armed forces, the Ministry of Defense, and the General Staff.
As reported by Armenpress, Colonel Sahak Ohanyan, head of the medical department of the RA Armed Forces, revealed this during a conversation with journalists on March 28.
"Considering that there was a movement of troops and mobilization resources during the 44-day war in Artsakh, we experienced an increase in coronavirus cases up to 3500. However, due to ongoing efforts, we were able to significantly reduce those numbers within two months. Currently, we have 150 cases of coronavirus infection," Ohanyan explained.
He noted that the condition of the patients is not severe, and during the entire pandemic, there were 10 recorded deaths in the armed forces, "90 percent of whom were workers and servant members and their family members."
