Russian Peacekeepers Ensure Safe Passage of Azerbaijani Military Convoys Through the Lachin Corridor
Engineer-sapper teams from the Humanitarian Demining Center continue to clear land in the Nagorno-Karabakh region. In the last day, 13 hectares of land, 4 kilometers of road, and 15 buildings have been cleared, with 43 explosive items discovered and removed for destruction. Since November 23, 2020, a total of 1,474 hectares of land, 457 kilometers of road, and 1,440 buildings, including 30 socially significant objects, have been cleared of unexploded ordnance, according to the Russian Ministry of Defense.
Russian peacekeepers have ensured the safe passage of six Azerbaijani military convoys: four through the Lachin corridor in the northern and southern directions, one from Shushi to Karmir Shuka to Qajaran, and one in the opposite direction.
Continuous cooperation is maintained with the general staffs of the Azerbaijani and Armenian armed forces to coordinate efforts to prevent potential incidents in the area of responsibility of the Russian peacekeeping contingent.
