Russia Registers Third Vaccine Against Coronavirus
The Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation has registered a third Russian vaccine against the coronavirus, named 'KoviVac', developed at the Chumakov Federal Scientific Center for Immunobiological Products Research and Development. This was announced by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The first 120,000 doses of 'KoviVac' are expected to be available in circulation by mid-March. According to the Prime Minister, the vaccination process against the coronavirus in Russia is progressing quite successfully. He noted that the production of the new vaccine should not diminish the output rates of the other two vaccines.
Mishustin emphasized that Russia is currently the only country with three vaccines to combat the coronavirus. The other two registered vaccines against the virus in Russia are 'Sputnik V' and 'EpiVacCorona'.
