Major Car Accident in Syunik Region, 5 Injured
The Road Police are preparing materials in connection with a car accident that occurred on February 19 in the Syunik region. This was reported by Shamshyan.com.
Around 7:00 PM, 37-year-old Hovhannes Markosyan from Yerevan lost control of his Mitsubishi vehicle on the Yerevan-Meghri highway at kilometer 192, crossing into the oncoming traffic lane and colliding with a Mercedes driven by 48-year-old Artak Harutyunyan, a resident of the Syunik region.
As a result of the accident, A. Harutyunyan was transferred to the Goris Medical Center with bodily injuries, while his passengers—38-year-old Armine Petrosyan, 26-year-old Anna Ghukasyan, 58-year-old Anush Davtyan, and the Mitsubishi driver H. Markosyan—were taken to the Sisian Medical Center with various injuries.
Officers from the 1st platoon of the 6th squadron of the 2nd police battalion arrived at the scene, led by the squadron commander Gegham Margaryan.
According to reports, the driver H. Markosyan is the director of Basalt 7 LLC.
