Edmon Marukyan Elected Vice President of PACE Committee on Human Rights and Legal Affairs
The leader of the 'Enlightened Armenia' parliamentary faction and a member of the Armenian delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Edmon Marukyan, announced on his Facebook page:
“Today I have been re-elected as the first vice president of one of the most important committees of PACE, the Committee on Human Rights and Legal Affairs. The committee chair has three vice chairs. My candidacy was presented by the political group of the Alliance of Liberals and Democrats for Europe (ALDE) within PACE. The Committee on Human Rights and Legal Affairs consists of 91 members who represent the national parliaments of the 47 member states of the Council of Europe. The committee has three sub-committees.”
