32-Year-Old Driver in Kotayk Region Crashes Mercedes into Bridge Barrier and Falls 4.5 Meters

On January 24, a tragic car accident occurred in the Kotayk region, as reported by Shamshyan.com.

At around 02:10, Davit Grigoryan, a 32-year-old resident of the village of Bardzrashen in the Ararat region, lost control of his Mercedes vehicle on the 30th kilometer of the Yerevan-Sevan highway. The car veered off the roadway, collided with the iron barrier of a bridge, and fell approximately 4.5 meters down.

As a result of the accident, Grigoryan was taken with injuries to Yerevan’s number 1 university hospital. However, around 08:00 today, the hospital notified the Charentsavan police department that Grigoryan had succumbed to his injuries.

In connection with the incident, senior investigator A. Minasian initiated a criminal case under Article 242, Part 2 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, and the case will be forwarded to the Kotayk regional investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.
