Today, on January 20, a major car accident occurred in the Syunik Province due to black ice on the road. Around 11:20 AM, a UAZ vehicle went off the traffic lane near the well-known "Bear" statue in the administrative area of Kajaran City, sliding approximately 60 meters and ending up in a gorge as a result of snow and black ice on the road.
According to photo reporter Gagik Shamshyan, three individuals in the vehicle—50-year-old Karen Karapetyan, 42-year-old Hambardzum Tovmasyan, and 61-year-old Roman Artsrunov—were rescued by citizens and transferred to the "Kapani" medical center, where doctors assessed their health condition as satisfactory.
As reported by G. Shamshyan, the UAZ vehicle is registered with the Armenian Ministry of Defense. The injured individuals are also servicemen of the Ministry of Defense.
