Azerbaijan's Ministry of Defense Reports Casualties and Missing Persons from the Last Nagorno-Karabakh War
The Azerbaijani Ministry of Defense has increased the number of reported fatalities from the recent Nagorno-Karabakh war and announced the number of missing persons. According to reports from Azerbaijani media, a total of 2,855 deceased soldiers and an additional 50 missing personnel have now been officially declared.
Initially, the Azerbaijani Armed Forces had reported 2,783 dead soldiers.
Azerbaijan does not disclose the true extent of its losses, which significantly surpass the officially published figures.
