It Will Be Intense in the National Assembly: What to Expect
The extraordinary session of the National Assembly, set to begin on January 18, promises to be lengthy and intense. According to the newspaper "Zhoghovurd," the agenda will be quite full.
Specifically, the agenda for the sixth session includes 40 mandatory discussion items that received negative conclusions, 22 items that did not receive a conclusion within the stipulated time frame, and 8 items that received positive conclusions from the main committee. In total, there are 70 issues on the agenda.
Of course, not all proposals will be able to be discussed by the parliamentarians, but there are questions that are mandatory for discussion and urgent. Such abundance of projects is rare, as there have been instances where the agenda items for the National Assembly were so few that the session lasted only one and a half days.
For comparison, the agenda for the December 8 session included 27 items, while the agenda for the June 16 session included 42 items. It is also worth noting that during the same period last year, the agenda included 43 items, indicating a reduction once again.
