We Need to Understand the Opposition's Position, Then We Will Make Our Decision: Makunts on Early Elections
The National Assembly's 'My Step' faction is not currently able to discuss the possibility of holding early parliamentary elections. Lilit Makunts, the head of the faction, stated this during a conversation with reporters following a meeting between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and the 'My Step' faction in the National Assembly, as reported by Armenpress.
When asked if there is a preliminary timeline for holding early elections, Makunts replied, 'At this moment, we cannot have discussions on this matter, as we first need to understand the positions of both parliamentary and extra-parliamentary opposition, after which we will make our decision and certainly publish it.'
Nikol Pashinyan has initiated a series of meetings during which he is discussing the possibilities for conducting elections with political forces.
