A Civilian Killed in Martakert Due to Landmine Explosion

On January 12, 2021, around 17:50, in the administrative area of Martakert city, specifically in the section known as “Martakerti bagher,” preliminary reports indicate that a landmine explosion occurred involving a resident of Martakert, identified as M. M.

This information was provided by the Artsakh Investigative Committee, which added that the incident took place during excavation work.

“As a result of the landmine explosion, the individual sustained burns of varying degrees and died on the spot. Materials are being prepared in the second investigative department of the territorial investigative administration of the Artsakh Republic Investigative Committee regarding the incident,” the statement noted.
